Through delicate arrangement and sincere invitation, this project is designed as a plementary and unique “ artistic feast” that intertwines and merges music, fine arts, and academic seminars and attempts to present series of plural activities of fine arts and literature. Teachers and students are encouraged to view things in artistic angles and strengthen their artistic knowhow and perception. The project “ Artistic Feast of De Lin” covers three parts of three academic years. The first part for the 91th academic year was designated and titled as “ Puyinjouying” (捕音捉影 ). It was made up of three concerts of renowned jazz groups at home— Juifeng Huang and Yunchang Dung and the duet of Kaiya Chang and Chipin Hsieh. Also it was modeled upon a photographic exhibition adopting jazz music of the photographer Yiping Peng and three seminars on the topics of jazz music, demonstration of modern Chinese violin, and marketing of music, which were delivered respectively by the professor Siuhuei Suan from National Cheng Chi University, teacher Pingheng Tsai, and teacher Lisiang Huang. The second part for the 92th academic year was titled as the “ Masterpieces of the Chingyun Knoll— Paintings and Music.” We invited three famous musical scholars to hold seminars. They include the professor from the department of music of National Taiwan University of Arts, Meiju Wang, and the professor from Taipei National University of the Arts, Jungshun Wu, and the professor from the department of music of Taipei National University of the Arts, Nanchang Chen, who has just been rewarded the Achievement Reward of Arts and Literature by the National Foundation of the Arts and Literature. Professor Chen delivered an impressive speech based on his erudite expertise and knowhow of the sphere of music position. Moreover, we had an valuable instrumental performance by the musical troupe “ Yunchuan Huang amp。 the Ancient Musical Troupe of XXI Century.” As far as the fine arts is concerned, we invited the wellknown wash painter Pingheng Liu to hold his individual exhibition. He put on exhibition his representative works and masterpieces of the recent years. The third part for the 93th academic year was constituted of “ Friends from Far Away— Organ and Painting for Spring Days.” For this part, we invited the honorable oil painter, professor Wenwei Liu, to hold his exhibition of oil paintings. Also, professor Hsiaoling Chao from the department of music of Chinese University in Honkong and professor Jienchiang Fan from the department of financial affairs of the same university were invited to respectively hold a concert of pipe an and deliver an impressive speech. Furthermore, we were very pleased to have such impressive performances as the Quartet Troupe of Formosa, the concert of double pianos by professors Yiju Chen and Yali Wang. At last the wonderful interactive speech by professor Jiyun Chen put a beautiful end to the Artistic Feast for this year. 18 Totally, during the consecutive three years, there are six musical performances, nine seminars of academic music, and three exhibitions of the fine arts. The part of music is so plural in content that it includes Jazz, pipe an, double pianos, delicate duet and quartet, and ancient musical troupe. In order to enhance understanding of music on the part of the faculty and students, we arranged seminars on music and marketing of economics. Except those free ers, we arranged our students from business departments to attend to do an opportunity education. Visual exhibition introduces to the audience photography, western paintings, wash paintings, etc. It is sincerely hoped that the audience can well appreciate the efforts and means by which artists convey their inner feelings. Combining years of observation and responses from students and teachers, we, by this Artistic Feast, e to know that: 1. By effective propaganda, many citizens from Tucheng, Panchiao, and even Chungho and Yungho e to our school campus to attend the various programs of the Artistic Feast. It has been proved that school, by the wellanized artistic activities, can be well connected and interchange with society. 2. Active, plural, and interesting artistic activities can enhance the involvement of students. Fine arts is no longer a field that is difficult to be understood. Varieties of artistic activities help students to discover their second talent, enhance their selfconfidence, and add greatly to their enthusiasm in learning new things and exploring new fields. 19 ( 六 )全程 計畫執行內容及成果說明 1、計畫目標 台灣大學歷史系黃俊傑教授認為「通識教育」的目標在「建立人的主體性,以完 成人之自我解放,並與人所生存之人文及自然環境建立互為主體性之關係。 」輔英科技大學張一蕃校長說〆「我們主張的通識教育,是以建立人的主體性為目標,要使學生能掌握知識的價值,將各領域的知識融會貫通,而在執行專業時以豐厚的人文關懷,為人群創造最大的福祉。 」準此而論,「通識教育」應是一種啟發心知喚醒心靈的教育,唯有發自內心深處徹底的覺醒,每個人才能成為自己的主人。 所以如何透過優質的通識教育,協助學生養成好學深思的習性,拓展廣闊的胸襟和視野,進而能關懷社會,貢獻一己的心力,追尋人生應有的意義和價值。 鑑於工商服務業 快速發展,凾利主義大行其道,社會秩序失調,道德力量勢微,自然環境遭受污染破壞,人心空虛,徬徨無助,往往沈溺於物慾享樂,而喪失了人生目標。 此時,透過教育的改造的力量,或可挽回頹勢,重振人心,燃貣希望的火苗。 本校過去為專校性質,培育目標自然以專業技能與實作為主,共同科目雖屬必修,惟因部份學生觀念偏差,致產生應付心理,風氣一旦形成,即使任課教師投注再多心力,仍然難逃「言之諄諄,聽之藐藐」的命運。 此種只側重專業科目,忽視人文社會學科之凾利主義心態,扭曲了教育均衡發展的常態,且造成人文素養的缺乏,價值觀念的混淆 ,導致未來踏入社會 20 適應不良的現象。 大學教育除了造尌專業人才外,更應替國家社會儲備能融貫各學門領域,有分析綜合能力的「全人」,以適應未來變遷的環境。 除了擁有文憑之外,更頇具備寬廣的知識,周延的邏輯思考能力,良好的溝通技巧與人際關係,進而建立和諧圓融的群體關係。 自改制以來,本校即針對過去人文、社會、科學教育之缺失詳函檢討,並提出具體改進辦法,在全體師生共同努力下,已經略有改善。 惟因改制伊始,資源有限,欲有效提昇通識教育內涵恐非易事,故部份計畫尚多保留。 可喜的是第二梯次「提昇大學基礎教育計畫」,適時提供了本 校通識教育一個「脫胎換骨」的機會,希望未來培育出兼顧專業知識與人文素養帄衡發展,具有圓融和諧與關懷社會精神之學生。 為了達成上述之總目標,底下分為四項計畫,按照順序列出其計畫目標〆 ( 1) 首先為本校全體教師規劃通識教育理念專題演講,以培養教師對通識教育理念與理論的認知基礎。 其次,為相關教師開辦系列研討培訓講座,以強化通識教育師資。 藉多元活潑的通識課程,提昇通識教育的品質,完成「全人教育」之理想目標。 ( 2) 把多媒體教材融入科學教學,探討大學生學習效益的提昇,及歸納學生學習的迷思概念,作為啟迪心靈,誘發 學習的興趣,從中瞭解科學本質,學習科學精神,培養其基礎。
