略谈英译汉中重复法毕业论文(编辑修改稿)内容摘要:

s give rise to the differences between the English and Chinese languages, and it is the language differences that lead to the difficulties in the translation conversion process between Chinese and English. In order to reproduce the meaning of the source text perfectly, countless translators have done fruitful researches on translation techniques and repetition is a kind of very important translation technique, which is frequently used in the translation from English to Chinese. From the use of repetition in EC translation, we have obtained an major finding that in the Chinese language, people tend to use repetition, but English speakers tend to use proforms and ellipsis to avoid repetition. When we pare both languages in use of repetition, we may ask such a question: what is the root cause of the phenomenon? Well, it is due to the cultural differences. Language is a medium of the daily munication in every ethnic group, by which people easily finish the daily life munication. But the differences between Chinese and Western cultures make their language habits and cultural backgrounds fundamentally different. The Chinese thinking of aesthetic symmetry and the English tinking of independence reveals the reason why Chinese people prefer to use repetition and English people try to avoid using repetition. So, through research on and parison of the cultural connotations of English and Chinese, we can plete the EC translation perfectly. Economic globalization makes the munication between Chinese people and Western more and more frequent, and the clash between Western culture and Eastern culture is inevitable。 the fusion of both cultures is getting under way silently. So when dealing with the problems of repetition in translation, we should abandon all wrong, rigid, stiff old ideas, keeping pace with the times, and do analyses and researches in an objective way. This paper first conducts a parison between Chinese and English in terms of translation, presents the definition and classification of repetition, discusses the differences and causes of repetition used in EC translation, summarizes the types of repetition, analyses the use of repetition and its function so as to help the readers have a prehensive and systematic understanding of repetition in EC translation. And translation is one tool of munication. We also pay more and more attention to the study on translation. “As to the differences between Chinese and western cultural and the differences of the language habits, translators in Ec translation also use a lot of translation skills. And repetition is one, very important.” (Fan Zhongying, 1994:13) Nowadays, many translators study in translation more and more deeply. When we do in translation, should not only pay attention to the translation, but also pay attention to the change, and make sure whether the article accurately reflects the original meaning of the author. That is to say, the key in the translation means not the words but the meaning. “So in practice, a lot of translators need to repeat, sometimes in order to make the meaning clear, sometimes to express emphasize, and sometimes to make language lively.” (Lin Xingzhou, 1998:67) An article in the translation of the beauty not only should express the original intention, but also show us a vivid image to help us to understand the translation. This will require some translation skills to use. So in translation, we should pay more and more attention to the use of repetition. In both Chinese and English translation, the translation of repeated words is just to repeat some key words and there are many types of repetition, such as nouns, verbs of repetition and the conclusions of repetition. Today as above questions, in bination with some predecessor’s results and his own view, I make some own understanding and summaries in this paper. This paper consists of three parts. Part One discusses the reason of using repetition, which includes the definition of repetition. We will analyze the reason from the codes of language and cultural background and the effect of translation。
