development to 34 national societies of developing countries through a NonEmergency International assistance supported by Ministry of Commerce. Right now we have reached agreement with Mongolian and DPRK Red Cross on provision of needed equipment, and will provide similar assistance to African National Societies such as that of Cote D’ivoire and Sudan. • We will anize 23 international training courses for mid/high level managerial personnel of national societies from developing countries. The costs of all the trainings will be fully supported by the Ministry of Commerce. Main tasks for International Cooperation and Exchanges • To carry out the work of National Committee of IHL • To play our role in the peopletopeople diplomacy by keeping up the munication and exchanges with Red Cross anizations in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. • To encourage international cooperation and exchanges at branch level under the coordination of the National HQs • To promote Red Cross movement and principles by taking the occasion of the 2020 Shanghai Expo Addressing strategic aims of S2020 • Strategic Aim 1: Save lives, protect livelihoods, and prepare for and recover from disasters and crises • The Earthquake operation has left us with both valuable experience and tough lessons in the field of disaster response. Last year our Emergency Response Contingency Plan was formulated and intergrated into the National Emergency Response System. 25 provincial Disaster Preparedness Centers have been established, which greatly strengthens the Red Cross Emergency Response Material Network and DPDR Information Network. Three Red Cross Emergency Rescue Teams have been established (respectively based on the strengths of Shanghai Huashan Hospital, Beijing 999 Rescue Center and the General Hospital of the Armed Police).
