The AML HSE Department shall provide advice and checklists for progress to be documented. Daily HSE Inspections Daily hazard inspections shall be performed by personnel nominated by the Project Manager. The nominated person maybe any member of the Project Team. Revision: Rev 0 Date: 16042020 Contractors Health amp。 Safety Pack 9 JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA) JSA breaks a planned activity into manageable steps, identifies the hazards associated with each step, assess the risks and ensure that appropriate controls and checks exist to eliminate or control the hazards. The benefits of a JSA are: promotes participation and consultation。 increases knowledge about the job。 provides a prestart check for the job。 improves safety management。 clearly defines individual roles and responsibilities. A JSA shall be pleted for all activities that: are identified as having a high potential to causing serious injury and/or equipment and material damage。 deviate from standard practices. There are five steps in the JSA activity: a. break the job into basic steps。 b. identify any potential hazards for each step。 c. assess the risk for each identified hazard。 d. identify controls to eliminate or minimize each hazard。 e. assign responsibilities to personnel to implement the controls. The Supervisor responsible for the planned work activity shall plete a JSA Work Sheet (Form SSPF03) together with the relevant personnel involved in the work activity. The Supervisor shall discuss the JSA report with the personnel required to perform the work via a tool box meeting. The JSA Work Sheet shall be distributed as follows: Original: Site Safety Advisor。 Copy One: Supervisor in charge of the work activity and must be available on site. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Procedure The Company will ensure that its employees are adequately trained to a level of petency sufficient to ensure their health and safety when at work. Assessment The Company will undertake a training/petency assessment of all employees prior to the mencement of work on the nominated site. Where skill deficiencies are detected appropriate training will be provided before work mences so that employees can perform their designated duties safely. Revision: Rev 0 Date: 16042020 Contractors Health amp。 Safety Pack 10 Hamp。 S INDUCTION Procedure The Company will ensure that persons carrying out the nominated work have relevant training including Safety Induction Training and the Cultural Induction. Workers will not carry out construction work until they have received these minimum requirements 1. General Safety Induction (by AML) 2. Cultural Induction (by AML, expat staff Only) 3. Site Specific Induction (by Contractor) All workers will receive the Hamp。 S induction training before work on site mences and a record of the training provided on the Training Record (Form SSPF04.) ELECTRICAL Procedure The Company will ensure that the use of electrical wiring, portable tools and extension leads will be in accordance with the Code of Practice Electrical Practices for Construction Work. All electrical equipment to be brought on site will be listed in the Electrical Equipment Register Form SSPF05. The register will be pleted prior to mencement of the works and maintained for the duration of the works on site. Inspection amp。 Tagging All electrical leads, portable power tools, junction boxes and earth leakage devices will be tested, inspected by a suitably qualified person and labeled with a tag of current date before being brought on site. Where this is not possible African Minerals Limited will be advised immediately and assistance requested in order to ply with the requirements of the Code of Practice Electrical Practices for Construction Work. Selection and Use: Whilst on site any electrical equipment found without a tag of current date issued by a suitably qualified person will not be used. Where an electrical item is located without a current inspection and test tag proof of the electrical items currency of inspection and test will be provided or the item removed from site immediately. When used on a construction site all electrical equipment will be connected to an Earth Leakage protection/residual current device at all times. Where practicable all electrical leads will be kept off the ground on insulated hangers or on insulated lead stands. Extension leads will not be joined together.
