C. you can hear t he clock when it i s act ual ly st ri king because micr ophones ar e connected t o t he cl ock tower. Bi g Ben has rar el y gone wrong. Once, however , it f ai led t o give t he cor rect ti me. A paint er who had been worki ng on the t ower hung a pot of pai nt on one of t he hands and slowed it down ! Lesson72 A car call ed Bl uebi rd “蓝鸟”汽车 The gr eat r aci ng dri ver , Sir Mal col m Cam pbel l, was the f ir st m an to dr ive at over 300 mi les per hour .
